Videre.Earth was conceived in 2022 by a group of people concerned about the future of humanity and the health of our world, but also eager to explore the possibility we are not alone in the universe. Inspired by the notion of creating an annually observed event, such as those supported by the United Nations we set our imaginations to work.

The word ‘videre’ was selected from its Latin origins, meaning ‘to see’. For the project this speaks to humanity seeing itself and our world as a whole, as well as creating a specific opportunity to be seen by others who may inhabit the universe with us.

In the end Videre.Earth has taken shape as an accessible, inclusive and hopeful opportunity that everyone around the world can participate in regardless of who they are, where they are or the circumstances they find themselves in.

We operate this website as a beacon for all those who wish to participate where one can find information about the project, register for information updates or purchase items from a small selection of products to help support the operating costs and our charitable contributions to selected organizations. We also maintain a presence on a few social media platforms.

Videre.Earth is a celebration of our world and a joyous proclamation: We are here, We are ready and We Stand Together to take our place in the cosmos.
